Justice League of America #2 (DC, 1960) Rating: VG

“Secret of the Sinister Sorcerers”

Synopsis:

All man-made inventions in the world stop
functioning. The Justice League summons Merlin from the Magic Dimension to help
find a way to restore Earth to normal.

Condition:  This comic
has a significant number of moderate flaws, but no major impairments. The front
cover has moderate to low reflectivity and moderate wear including several moderate
creases mostly near the corners or edges, a 1¾” tear and a ¼” tear. The back
cover has a very light fold, ½” tear and a few tiny nicks. The spine has a
moderate roll and there is a ¼” tear at one staple. The centerfold page is
detached at one staple. Pages are tan to light brown.

Justice League of America #3 (DC, 1961) Rating: Fair/G

“The Slave Ship of Space”; 1st Appearance of
Kanjar Ro

Synopsis:

Kanjar
Ro forces the Justice League to help him defeat his enemies by freezing the
people of Earth motionless. Only the combined voices of his enemies--Kromm,
Hyathis, and Sayyar--saying "Kanjar Ro" can release them.

Condition:  The major
flaw for this is the cover has a 1 ¼” and a 3 3/4” split at the spine as well
as having one staple detached. The front cover has moderate to low reflectivity
and moderate wear including several small to moderate creases. The back cover
has some light browning along the edge and a very small spot stain (1/8”). There
is also a ¼” piece off at the spine edge. Pages are tan to light brown.

Justice League of America #4 (DC, 1961) Rating: G/VG

“Doom of the Star Diamond”; Green Arrow Joins

Synopsis:

Carthan, banished from his homeworld Dryanna to
Earth by his ruler Xandor, attempts to contact the Justice League for help but
cannot do so directly. He activates three machines of destruction that hold him
to Earth and takes Green Arrow hostage, hoping that the Justice League can
deactivate the machines and free him.

Condition:  The front cover has low reflectivity and moderate
wear including some light creasing and a small (1/4”) triangle piece missing
from one corner. The back cover has some light browning along the edge, a ¼”
piece missing at the spine edge, a couple ¼” tears on the edge and several
other smaller nicks and tears on the edge. There cover has a spine split of 1
¼”, is detached at one staple (with another split where the staple was of ¼”)
and a small tear at the other staple. Pages are tan to light brown.

Justice League of America #5 (DC, 1961) Rating: G-

“When Gravity Went Wild”; 1st Appearance of Dr.
Destiny

Synopsis:

Green Arrow is put on trial for helping the
enemies of the Justice League escape from capture.

Condition:  This comic has significant wear, but is still
complete with no major flaws. The biggest flaw is a 2” spin split in the cover.
The front cover has low to moderate reflectivity and moderate to heavy wear
including lots of moderate creases, a ½” tear, small piece missing at the edge
(3/16” x  1/16”), a small (1/4”) pencil
mark, a very small stain (1/8”) and a faint water stain (3” long x 1” tall) at
the bottom that travels through the first couple pages. The back cover has a small
(1/2” x 1/4”) triangle piece missing from one corner and another (1/4”) from
another. There are also moderate creases, a very small (1/8”) tear at the edge
and other wear.  Pages are tan to light
brown and the first one has a 1”, thin scribble in the margin.

GRADING IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING
